When I first wrote this page, the listings were just those picked for my own use,
mainly for relevance to my computer (and my plans for it) but then I got
carried away; so I thought I'd add it to my site in case others found it of use.
Somewhat to my surprise, (and disappointment for the other pages) it is now by
far the most popular page in my collection, accounting for over 50 per cent.

The listing is still not complete and this sort of listing is constantly
changing. Let me know if you find one of these links no longer works or
you find a new URL and I'll do my best to keep it up to date.
For information on processors generally, see the
ChipList, which
contains info. on hundreds of processors (Intel,
AMD, Cyrix, etc.) including power consumption, number of
pins, and other features. Also see the
